The first week of April has various unique events planned, preparing for most who’ll be starting with their summer holidays while others will be free from exam stress. For working professionals, April this is a good weekend too, for most of the events are being planned on Sunday. Here is a list of the events that are happening in Pune this weekend:

Call of the Hills
In this solo show, Chitra Vaidya presents paintings from the hills of Kumaon as well as hills of Western Ghats such as Panchgani and Mahabaleshwar. The paintings depict the hills, its people, their culture and architecture. This is the second show of the series “Call of the Hills”.
The paintings in this series include watercolour paintings, acrylic and oil on canvas as well as mixed media paintings.

PH Intimate with DOSEM
Penthouze Nightlife and LiMN Entertainment presents PH Intimate with DOSEM. Featuring- Oozeundat + Ashtrix. The trajectory behind Dosem’s exponential rise first occurred when he signed to Technasia’s label Sino in 2008 with his eloquently carved club hit ‘Silent Drop’ (2009), which got picked up by several underground techno moths and spawned interest in the new, young Catalonian artist. From here his profile flourished and following a re-release of the already cosmic classic ‘Beach Kisses’ on Green, he soon had material on imprints like Dig Deeper and Suara.

Young upcoming, renowned artists from Pune city are coming together and starting their Fusion Band Called “Fusion Five”, A unique fusion band which has contemporary music played in modern style on contemporary and Western instruments. The first live performance of Fusion Five is all set to enthral punekars’.

An exhibition of paintings by Sudhir S Bangar. His paintings are free creations. Each and every painting is a new experience for him. He has always found peace from his paintings and this continued search inspires and helps him to create his paintings. He has exhibited in numerous group and solo shows in India.
His series being exhibited at Malaka Spice is named, “Lavani”. Lavani is a combination of traditional song and dance, which is particularly performed to the beats of Dholki. It is noted for its powerful rhythm. Lavani has contributed substantially to the development of Marathi folk theatre.

Breakfast Trail through the Old City
