Finally, Pune’s time has come!

As per the recently released schedule for India’s 2016-17 season, Pune will be hosting its first ever Test match at the swank MCA stadium at Gahunje. Our recent experience at the stadium did throw up some missing aspects, which we hope would be addressed by then!

This is indeed very exciting and we hope that it kicks off a regularity of Pune featuring as a Test venue.

While the exact dates are yet to be announced, here is who you can look forward to watching in Pune:

  • ODI v England
  • Test v Australia (Feb-Mar 2017)

Rajkot, Vizag, Pune, Dharamsala, Ranchi and Indore will host Test matches for the first time in the forthcoming season where India will be playing thirteen (13) Test matches, eight (8) One day Internationals, and three (3) T20 Internationals.

Honorary Secretary of the BCCI Mr. Ajay Shirke said, “Some of the best teams of world cricket are coming to play in India this season and we are excited to announce the schedule well ahead of time. This gives the staging associations and the BCCI, sufficient time to prepare and present, one of the most memorable cricketing seasons for our fans. I have full faith in our team at BCCI to deliver International & domestic cricket simultaneously and engage the ardent fans, on all fronts.”
