NSDM INDIA: How a Pune-Based Ed-Tech Start-Up is Creating Extraordinary Digital Marketing Talent

Harshit Gupta and Arpit Khurana joined Pune University in 2012 to pursue an MBA degree. Little did they know that destiny had brought them to the same classroom. What followed has been nothing less than a fairytale startup story for the two young professionals from Pune.

While still pursuing his MBA, Harshit started working very hard to acquire a rich and versatile experience in digital marketing. In his career as a digital marketer, he worked for some of the best brands, devising and implementing their digital strategies to deliver high-quality results for his clients.

Arpit, with a keen knack to acquire skills, started exploring digital marketing to its length and breath. He got the opportunity to work with some of the best fortune 500 companies. Soon he began conducting actionable training workshops and consultations for start-ups and corporate teams.


Together, Arpit and Harshit had lead the digital marketing department of a California-based company where they worked with some well known international brands like Moffat & Nicol, United Colors of Benetton, Ephesoft, Panasonic, and George Foreman’s e-commerce venture, Gfbuthershop.

In January 2015, both of them banded together to lay the foundations of one of the most sought-after digital marketing institutes in Pune, NSDM India.


Believing that luck favours the bold, the two young MBA graduates set out to realise their dream. Like any other start-up, the initial stages were tough for the young team. “At first, it was difficult to convince people, both students and employers, about why they need a well-structured course in digital marketing and how such a course at NSDM India will make a difference in their business,” says Arpit Khurana, one of the two Founders-Directors of the institute.

Soon, things changed and NSDM India found its first angel investor who believed in the duo’s dream and funded the venture. Things improved further as the first few batches of students trained at NSDM India conquered the digital marketing discipline in their chosen industries.

With a solid foundation in place, NSDM India established itself as a premier institute in a short period of time, offering industry-driven digital marketing courses with more than 18 advanced modules that cover Paid Advertising, Digital Analytics, Affiliate Marketing, Marketing Automation, Social Media Marketing, SEO and more.

Now, NSDM INDIA is globally expanding with its self-paced and live interactive digital marketing courses. The LMS software clubbed with interactive sessions has effectively made the institute a one stop learning destination to train marketers and entrepreneurs for acquiring new skills.
