Not so lightly
If you have seen Tanu Weds Manu, chances are you have loved Swara Bhaskar’s performance as Kangna Ranaut’s best friend, Payal. Slowly yet steadily, she is a rising name in Bollywood. She is careful with not just with the kind of films she chooses but also the brand. Presently, she is associated with Maruti Suzuki Autocar Young Driver 2013, an initiative/contest to promote road safety and good driving skills amongst youngsters between 18-30 age group.
What made you want to be associated with the Maruti Suzuki initiative?
I think the objective of the initiative got me to be associated with it. It’s for our betterment which will lead us to being better drivers.
How important do you think is the message they are trying to pass?
It’s critical! It’s definitely important especially for the youngsters of today as they take driving rules for granted. They need to know the seriousness of breaking even the smallest of rules.
What kind of driver are you?
I’m a consciously careful driver. I avoid speeding and over-taking and I NEVER drink and drive.
As an actress how careful are you when it comes to being associated with a brand or an initiative?
Very careful. I would never lend my name to an initiative I did not believe in or a brand whose brand values I did not agree with.
Are you happy with the choices you making and the pace of your career?
Yes. I’m looking forward to the release of Raanjhanaa on June 21.
