As we collectively observed a Janta Curfew on March 22, we asked Punekars what they were up to at home and received thousands of responses from citizens! All through the day, Punekars told us what they were up to, how they were getting through the day and spending their time at home with family.

Everyone we interacted with were in great spirits, hundreds of them cooking and eating Pohe and Biryani, while thousands told us they spent the day cleaning, reading, creating art, playing Carrom and other Board Games.

A few Health Workers also checked in, telling us they were working in the ICU or screening possible COVID-19 patients in the city.

You can read some of the responses we’ve collected!

The day started off with Chaha, Pohe and Bakarwadi!

Thousands of people spent the day cleaning and cooking and learning new dishes.

A lot of people said that they were spending quality time with their family after a long time! A few started learning a new language via YouTube, reading books, writing blogs. We loved hearing from everyone, it kept our spirits up too!

We asked the Doctor working in the ICU whether she could send a message for the citizens and she did. Here it is:

We hope you guys stay safe, stay isolated and indoors. Please continue to not panic-buy things just yet and follow what the experts are saying.
