As cyclone Nisarga makes its way through the state of Maharashtra, Pune has been witnessing moderate to heavy rainfall along with strong winds, and will continue to do so until June 4.

The cyclone is expected to hit close to Alibaug at a wind speed of wind speed of 100-110 kmph on the afternoon of June 3.

Several rural areas have been sounded with a high alert and asked to be prepared, while staying indoors as much as possible.

June 3’s forecast shows a possible rainfall of 64.5mm and 115.5mm in Pune city, the heaviest of the four days.

Aside from the cyclone effect, seasonal rains have already hit Kerala and we can expect rains to kick off in the state by June 8.

We hope you guys are staying safe, warm and indoors.
