I tripped balls when I first found out that Pune was getting its own Food Truck Zone along the New Airport Road. Multiple food trucks with dozens of edible options to choose from, all in one convenient lot, saving me the trouble of having to haul my derrière all over town hunting them down? I. Was. There. Within. Seconds.
I catch her amidst peals of laughter. She throws her head back and bam! It makes contact with the vanity mirror behind her. “Oh sh**!” she yelps, still laughing, as she reaches over to rub the back of her head. Ah, the start-up life. The thing about start-ups that I think I love most is how disruptive they are, in a brilliant kind of way, of course. Start-ups, with their young blood, bright eyes and clear heads, emerge from obscurity, shoot right to the top and shake things up about the way we eat, work, play and live. Personally, I’ve always harboured a deep admiration for the start-up ecosystem as it stands today. Pune is at the heart of the start-up scene in India.
