Vishwashanti Sangeet Kala Academy, the name itself says it all. This academy teaches you to make music, which will help promote world peace and serenity all over. For ages, music has been an integral part of our lives. Music is always been preferred over words when it comes to expression of feelings, be it happiness or melancholy, elation or sombreness. At Vishwashanti Sangeet Kala Academy, they endeavour to trace the origins of music through the ages, learn about the different forms of music, explore the variety of musical instruments, pay tribute to the maestros of music down the years, and propagate the rich and varied traditions of Indian classical music based on time-tested Indian values and cultures.

Set amongst greenery and peaceful surroundings on the banks of the river Mula-Mutha at Rajbaug, Loni, which is around 22 km away from Pune, is the picturesque Vishwashanti Sangeet Kala Academy, where one experiences complete tranquility and divinity. Vishwashanti Kala academy was inaugurated by the nightingale of India, Lata Mangeshkar in the year 2013. If you are looking for a full fledged course in the field of Indian Classical Music, then this is the best option and it is also very close to the city. Vishwashanti Sangeet Academy has been formed and designed keeping the concept of realizing divinity and serenity through music and art in mind. It also aims at exhibiting, demonstrating and educating about original musical instruments from nearly 160 nations of the world. It is a matter of great pride that this gigantic monument is located in Rajbaug, the land once owned by great late Shri Raj Kapoor and now it is owned by the MAEER’s MIT Group of Institutions, Pune. It was the wish of the legendary actor, Raj Kapoor, that this land should be used for academic and educational purposes.

Prior to this institution, visitors would come here just to see Raj Kapoor’s farmhouse and the places where some of his films were shot, but now the humungous Sangeeet Academy gives more meaning to this place. Along with being an amazing spot for some peace and tranquility, it is also a great institution for those who want to build a career in the field of classical music, making it an absolute must visit.
