In some positive news for Pune, the city’s administration has reported a dip in active cases and rise in recoveries. Pune’s recovery rate stands at 75%, which is higher than the rest of the country.
The national recovery average stands at 70%, while Maharashtra’s average is around 67.5%. The city’s recovery rate in late June was 61% and 65% in July.
Pune now has 14,705 active cases (735 critical, 443 on ventilators and 292 in ICU without ventilators).
The total number of recoveries are now at 51,353. With 5320 tests conducted in 24 hours, the total tests conducted stands at 3.30 Lac.
After observing a pattern in Mumbai and Delhi, various experts believe that Pune will see a significant drop in cases from September and the situation should be under control by the end of October.
