For those who do not know, a planetarium is a a domed building in which images of stars, planets, and constellations are projected for public entertainment or education; you can learn and observe space, the solar system, and most importantly, planets, with the help of miniature models. Not only is it educational, but it is immensely fun to know where we stand and how our world revolves, literally!

Moving on to this news, PMC has announced that we will get this planetarium pretty soon. It’s being built at the Rajiv Gandhi e-learning school located in Sahakar Nagar and the planetarium itself will accommodate 52 people. It will be open to the public as soon as the construction is over; reports claim August 2019. The proposed timings are 10 am to 1 pm and 4 pm to 7 pm.

The project costs a whopping 5 Crore and has all the state-of-the-art facilities. Great care has been taken to use modern digital technology and advanced techniques to make sure the experience is as authentic as possible.

The initiative will encourage citizens to learn about constellations, galaxies, wormholes and other aspects of astronomy. 3D glasses will be provided to the audience and the show will last for 40-60 minutes with detailed information about the galaxy.

This news comes at the best possible time, especially considering that the image of the first blackhole was successfully captured recently. Locked in a timeless dance, this information about our planets and the solar system can go a long way in creating awareness about the earth’s state as well as our being.
