A booming metropolis, Pune has been attracting several visitors over the years. Now that the world’s largest pillar-less dome has also graced Pune, it seems our government, with utmost ferocity, aims to focus on the cultural and historical angle of our city which has always been the pull for tourists.
Apart from being blessed with monuments of cultural importance like Shaniwarwada, Sarasbaug, Vishrambaug Wada, and a few other noteworthy names, Pune has also introduced a ‘Seven Wonders of the World’ theme park. As the name suggests, the seven reputed wonders of the world are displayed in one hector of land. Located in Pune’s Sahakarnagar area, the park has officially been named as ‘Late Yashwantrao Chavan Udyan’.
As mentioned, within the one hector of land, these seven wonders are scattered for display. They include the Eiffel Tower, Taj Mahal, Great Pyramid, Colosseum, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Statue of Liberty, and the Stonehenge. Miniature replicas made of wood show these seven wonders, offering an exciting and educational display for visitors.
This park is an excellent option if you want to go on a picnic, or if you have children who love history as it will offer a nice alternative to learning it from the book.
Along with that, the Park also hosts shows where the history of these wonders is described in a realistic 4D format. Adults and children alike can end their experience by partaking in this 4D show, a unique treat for everyone! The park’s timings are 6 am to 10am and 4 pm to 8 pm. The entry fee is INR 20.
Experience this unique park for a really exciting and fun day out in Pune and don’t forget to tag us in your pictures!
