Where to Eat Them Awesome Mango Delicacies
The fruit itself is tasty and enjoyable, but add it to a dish and it takes the taste to a whole new level. Here is a list of the most amazing mango dishes and drinks and where you can get them in the city:
Established in 1966, Sujata became famous for its ice cream, milkshakes and yes, the mastani. Their mango mastani remains the best in the city and is always on a Punekar’s mind. Their Kesar Mango Mastani is a must-try!
Sujata is so Puneri, they have a special tip at the bottom of their menu card saying, “Mastani is not an ice cream”, showcasing their Puneri roots!

Gurjar Mastani has a standing of its own in the hearts of hardcore Punekars. The mango dry fruit mastani here is amazing. The mastani is made using vanilla and mango ice creams, topped with a cherry and contains every dry fruit you can think of. A must-try!
Where: Near City Pride Satara Road, Market Yard, Pune
Cost: Rs. 160 for the Special Mango Kesar Dry Fruit Mastani, others are around Rs. 60 – Rs. 100
Their mango mastani satisfies the most hardcore of mastani lovers. The place is wonderful for snacks to go along with the mastani. Kasturi also serves pizzas, sandwiches, South Indian food, pav bhaji and chaat.

Mango with cream/Ice Cream
This place in Camp is known for its fresh fruit milkshakes and pav bhaji. However, their mango with cream is to die for! It is served with freshly cut mangoes and fresh cream with a scoop of mango ice cream. One of the best ways to beat the summer heat, especially if you’ve been shopping on nearby MG Road!

The ice cream parlour that has made a name for itself for serving amazing fruit-flavoured ice creams is also known for its seasonal fruits with cream. For summer, mango is the flavour that rules the roost and their fresh mango with cream is amazingly tasty and well-priced! The mango ice cream or mango milkshake are equally delicious.

Although not served with fresh mango slices, the mango shake at Vaishali still manages to be one of the tastiest in the city. It is simple, sans all the ice cream scoops and garnishings, but extremely tasty and worth the price. Do try it out along with your usual Vaishali order.

Loaded with fresh mangoes, this creamy delight satiates the soul on so many levels. Seriously, who knew heaven would cost next to nothing.

Known for its tasty dishes and pastries, Sweet Chariot excels in providing quality food at reasonable rates. Their cheesecakes are known to be the best in the city and the mango cheesecake is a must-try.

Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale
