Bal Kalyan
This institute or centre is where disabled children find an oasis to build their lives and this year, they have a grand exhibition and sale of diyas, lanterns and other Diwali gift items created by these special children. The special attraction this time would be the ceramic items which have been baked by the kids. Do drop in.

Handmade products are a big hit these days and most look out for places selling them at this point of the year. This Diwali, you can buy handmade products made specially by local women artisans at a special two-day fair.

This is one of the most popular exhibition-cum-sales of everything ethnic, exotic and designer. So you get silk and cotton, dress materials, stoles, dupattaskurtas, suits, saris and Lucknowi chikan work. The collection comes from quite a number of places – Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and so on. Pick your favourite and make others go green with jealousy.

This shop happens to be the one place for your furniture needs and also the place to search for anything in home decor, gifts, traditional handicrafts and such things. Though their annual bazaar just got over, they have new stocks over. So you can buy from lamps, paintings, reclaimed wooden sideboard, old boxes, gold plated silver jewellery, new glass vases, covers and lots more. It is the best place for making your house into a home.

The Mahila Bachat Gats or women self-help groups are a popular source for loads of interesting stuff, ranging from food products to home items. They are popular groups to shop at during festive season. This Diwali, the PMC with these groups have organised a Bachat Bazaar for special exhibition and sale. Right from traditional and other food items pickles, masalas, Diwali special food items, to clothes, lanterns, diyas, jewellery and so on, it is one-stop shopping paradise at reasonable price. You will also get to eat some amazing food items, both veg and non-veg.
