Colorss for a cause

This independence day, start with a little charity as we tell you more about Colorss Foundation…

Many people have a different perception of charity in their minds. Before going any further in details with the term charity, please allow me to shed some light upon this generous and philanthropic word, “Charity”. As Sir John London has quantified, “A bone to the dog is not charity. Charity is the bone shared with the dog, when you are just as hungry as the dog.” While keeping and maintaining this perception, Colorss Foundation, has made and still trying to pay its rent on this planet earth as Cassius Clay says and I quote, “Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth”.
We need to shift from an economic organizing principle for human civilization, to a humanitarian organizing principle. Making money more important than your own children is a pathological way for an individual to run their affairs, and it’s a pathological way for a society to run its affairs.
Forcing people to be generous isn’t humanitarian, effective, compassionate or moral. Only acts that are truly voluntary for all concerned can be truly compassionate.
Colorss Foundation is not a hell-raiser, it is a humanitarian being who has sympathy for mankind in the lump, faith in its future progress, and desire to serve the great cause of this progress, should be called not a humanist, but a humanitarian, and his creed may be designated as humanitarianism. The very only upward mobility of humanity is philanthropic. It is based in Pune, Baroda and Ajmer.
Once again, it brings us no surprise, Colorss Foundation has brought laurels to many hopeless and helpless families and made them believe in their own very existence on this planet earth. A remarkable feature of the Colorss’s movements, on both its sentimental and utilitarian sides, has been its preoccupation with the lot of the masses, namely, “Colors of Life”, “Project Enhance”, “Urja”.
Colorss_Journey“Colors of Life”, a very humanitarian project, enforced to provide a benevolent service for high & dry and disheartened youth who dearth education. This project is designed to guide and help young people by encouraging them to embrace and enjoy education as well as make the most of it through interactive activities – learning a new skill or developing characters or possible inborn skills. “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” – Mahatma Gandhi, has been a working watchword of Colorss.
“Project Enhance”, another altruistic project brought into force by Colorss foundation for the betterment of humankind.  The benefits of this Project Enhance are psychological, physiological and creative. The participants end up learning how to control aggression and anger; stimulate brain through games; increase happiness; build self-confidence, and develop trust among other positive changes.
“Urja” or “Vigour”, a women oriented and empowering project that educates women in morals and not in mind, proving not to be a menace to society. Now, as “Brigham Young” put it, “You educate a man; you educate a man. You educate a woman; you educate a generation.” The Project Urja focusses on and helps women to develop some vocational skills, like needle work, tailoring, business management and marketing. The programme assists the women break the jinx of poverty by training them to become financially and socially independence, and also to develop the confidence to become productive members of their communities.
We are more similar than we are different, and we are all fed up with the violence. You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who’ll decide where to go. You are the one who has been bestowed god’s blessing upon, thereby, being the privileged one it is a moral duty to share your blessings with the underprivileged ones.
“If you have food in your fridge, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of the world.
If you have money in the bank, your wallet, and some spare change you are among the top 8% of the world’s wealthy.
If you woke up this morning with more health than illness you are more blessed than the million people who will not survive this week.
If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the agony of imprisonment or torture, or the horrible pangs of starvation you are luckier than 500 million people alive and suffering.
If you can read this message you are more fortunate than 3 billion people in the world who cannot read it at all.”
Colorss Foundation has been setting an example for the humanity by putting love into giving. No one has ever become poor by giving and as Martin Luther King Jr. has stated, “Every man must decide whether he will walk in the light of creative altruism or in the darkness of destructive selfishness.”
For Attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair, let a child run their fingers through it once a day.
For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.
People, more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms.
As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands, one for helping yourself and the other for helping others.”
