Tappedar Tappa- A guided listening session

Originating from the folk songs of the camel riders of Punjab-Sindh, the Tappa is a jumpy form of semi-classical music with fast, subtle and knotty construction of musical phrases. Very few contemporary performers dare to venture in this challenging territory! The session, conducted by eminent classical vocalist, scholar and writer – Pushkar Lele, shall try to unfold the beauty and intricacies of this flashy yet romantic form. This is the fourth in the Guided Listening Sessions organised by Open Space, with the aim to engage the lay listeners to look at classical music with a fresher and wider perspective.
When: 28th April, Sunday
Where: Open Space, B-1, Hermes Vishal, Lane No. 7, Koregaon Park, Pune
Time: 10am to 12pm
