Haydn Barytontrio Budapest- India Music Tour

The HAYDN BARYTON TRIO BUDAPEST was founded by Kakuk Balázs in 1980 with the intention to revive Joseph Haydn’s almost 200 compositions for baryton – an original instrument of Prince Esterházy Miklós, the Magnificent – in order to perform the pieces in authentic and original instrumentation.
The Ensemble plays all Barytontrios from Haydn as well as quintets, octets and the barytondivertimenti from other composers of the Esterházy circle.
Film music records, TV-production’s, concert tours worldwide.

Thumakti Thumari aur uski Kuch Saheliyaa

Thumri is one of the most popular forms of semi-classical music characterized by a restrained sensuality and its depiction of various moods associated with the sentiment of love. The session, conducted by eminent classical vocalist, composer, teacher and writer – Pushkar Lele, shall try to unfold the beauty and intricacies of this romantic form, along with some others like the Dadra, Chaiti, Sawan, Jhoola, Kajari and Hori. This is the third in the Guided Listening Sessions organised by ‘Open Space’, with the aim to engage the lay listeners to look at classical music with a fresher and wider perspective.
