I’m going to start by saying that I’m totally expecting comments like “Eh this happens in Mumbai also” and “What bakwaas Bro this list is toh fully applicable in Jharkhand also”. Yes, I know. Monsoon is monsoon everywhere; the raindrops in Pune aren’t liquid platinum being showered on a land of solid gold. But, if you’re a Punekar, your soul will just GET these monsoon feels.
It’s like the entire city is pregnant when it rains; we get these cravings for certain dishes, which we especially cannot resist during this season. And, what a Punekar craves, a Punekar gets. Here are seven dishes that we cannot keep our hands off all through this gloomy (read glorious), wet season. #PunekarEats
Are you a Punekar? If yes, you do not need an introduction to Vohuman Cafe. You’re not a Punekar? In that case, first off, welcome to Pune’s most awesome webzine. Secondly, Vohuman Cafe is one of Pune’s oldest, most legendary food landmarks. It’s not even like they serve a variety of international cuisines; nah Bro, […]
Punekars, we’re always looking for new and innovative food in the city and, lo and behold, here’s something that takes dish innovation to a whole new level.
First there was Koregaon Park’s most well-known restaurant and landmark, PREM’S. Then came one of our absolute favourite bars in the city, SWIG. But, the man didn’t stop there; he launched another massive gem in Pune’s food and party crown, EURISKA. You’d think he would be satisfied with three of the most outstanding hangouts in the city. Today, if I had to compare Pune with Bangalore, here’s how it would go.
About over a month ago now, I decided to up my fitness game (because, well, #fitfam) and joined a Zumba class close to home. Initially, I didn’t know what to expect; I hadn’t even bothered to check out Zumba videos on YouTube. Day one was madness; I don’t think I moved a finger for about two hours post class. I knew it would get easier with time though. And it did. Today, I actually miss it on days I don’t dance. Part of what I enjoy in our sessions is the energy of our instructor, Prabhu Ram. He’s encouraging, always motivating, and all in all a really fun person to follow and dance with. Of course, I went ahead and got him to spill about his life, passion for the art and more. Excerpts…
