There’s so much more to Oktoberfest than just beer, you know?! The Bavarian Festival is full of flavourful food choices for anyone wanting to sink their teeth into anything sweet or savoury; Café 1730 in Koregaon Park brings to you a taste of Germany. Starting tomorrow (October 13) and lasting for two whole weeks, here’s your chance to soak up the Deutschland ambience whilst you are guided through a menu that serves a tantalising selection of German grub.

From a variety of Soups, Appetizers and Salads, to soul-satisfying Main Course dishes and Desserts, this full-course Deutsch menu is sure to satisfy a foodie’s tastebuds.

And just in case you weren’t aware, German food isn’t just about Sausages and Bratwurst! Take their Maultaschensuppe Soup for instance- Dumplings filled with minced pork, beef, veal and bacon, all cooked in a beef broth… I mean, HELLO, meat-lovers!

And don’t fret, vegetarians, y’all always got potatoes and almost no one has their Potato game as strong as “die Deutchen” do. The Parsley Potato with Melted Butter starter is about to transport you into sheer #foodbliss. Potatoes (sounds good) braised in butter (sounds even better), sprinkled with parsley (just stepped up a notch) and served over a bed of caramelised onions (ughhh HEAVEN).

More in the meat section are the Country Meat and Cheese Platter, Bratwurst with Beer and Horseradish Sauce and Beer Braised Sausages. Ima take a day off, go eat all this ultra DELISH food and then fall into a Deutsche #foodcoma.

Then there’s the Obatza (Cream Cheese spread served with pretzels, sliced red onions and red radish), another dream veggie dish!

Where do I even begin to tell you about the Main Course?! Hot Dogs, Roast Chicken, Grilled Pork Chops in a Dark Beer Marinade (it doesn’t get more German than that) Chicken Filled with Ham and Cheese, Potato Pancakes with Berry Jam… #FOODGOALS happening right here, bruh!

And finally, here’s my favourite part- German Chocolate Cake and Apple Strudel for dessert!

There is so much more that needs to be experienced and indulged into. So as the Germans would say “GUTEN APPETIT”!
