Let’s face it, the Chinese food we eat here is so modified to Indian taste that Wikipedia has an entire page dedicated to Indian Chinese Food (proof). Listed below are the top places to whet your Chinese palette. The places have been divided into high end and pocket-friendly options.

High End Options

Baan Tao

Located at the Hyaat Pune, this place not only has some great food but the ambience is top notch. Make your reservations as they’re booked on most days.

Whispering Bamboo

Taj hospitality with food to match. This place has been around for a while. Quality and service remains unchanged over the years.

Mainland China

With five locations spread across the city, this place has us covered. Staff is always polite and food is always delish.

Shizusan

The new player in this bunch, located in Phoenix Market City. They have outdoor and indoor seating options. Worth a visit post your retail therapy.

Malaka Spice

They started with one small shop in Koregaon Park, lane five, now they have four locations just in Pune. Extensive menu and great food here.

Pocket Friendly Options

Shee Chinese

Located in Kondhwa, this place is small but the portions are big. Food is served fresh and quick. A favorite among students.

Uncle’s Chinese

Another Koregaon Park gem, known for their dim sums, this place has recently been renovated. The food here doesn’t disappoint.

Chung Fa

Located Behind M.G. Road, this is a no frills type of place. Easy on the pocket and great on satisfaction. Check it out if you are in the area.

Kimling

Decent ambience, four locations and yummy tasting food. Kimling does Chinese food well. Known for their Manchow soup and Chilly Garlic Chicken.

Kimchi

Great value for money, homely atmosphere and welcoming staff. Located in Kharadi, this place is a must-visit if you live that side of town.
