JW Marriott Pune is currently serving the world’s flavours in its various restaurants at the property. We went over to try their Arabic food at Paasha and it surely did not disappoint!

It’s almost impossible to find authentic Arabic food in Pune. That being said, if you are a connoisseur of middle eastern food you might be in luck. The JW Marriott is offering an Arabic Food festival at Paasha from the 1st of Oct to the 15th of Oct.

Chef Nicola Kadmos has almost two decades of experience in various kitchens around the G.C.C. Originally from Syria and currently working at the JW Marriott Marquis in Dubai, he brings a treasure trove of deliciousness with him.

A special hand selected menu from the vast middle eastern region to please even the pickiest taste buds. Speaking with Chef Nicola gave us an in depth insight into his style of cooking his preferred dishes from each region and the passion he has for cooking. All that we ate was recommended by him personally.

chickenWe started our desert safari journey with Hummus, velvety smooth and the right amount of tahini sauce for that extra flavor. The Fattoush Salad arrived right after, it was fresh diced tomatoes, cucumber, olive oil, pomegranate dressing and Arabic bread tossed on top. Our hot mezze included Falafel, small balls of heavenly goodness which are deep fried, blended chickpeas with Arabic spices served with pickles and tahini. While finishing our salad the main course appeared, Shish Taouk and Grilled Tiger Prawns. The Shish Taouk is cubes of chicken marinated in garlic, chili and lemon, cooked in the tandoor. Almost an Arabic version of Chicken Tikka. The Grilled Tiger Prawns were infused with saffron, garlic, lemon juice and charcoal grilled to perfection.

Never the less by this time we could barely breath.  Arabs are known for their hospitality and generosity these two traits are prevalent when you dine at Paasha, especially during this Arabic Festival. While you are there, make sure to meet Chef Nicola; he is more than happy to interact with his guests and loves their feedback!

Other world cuisines served here until October 15 include Italian, Sri Lankan and the Chocolate on Canvas.
